Jodie
External Communications and PR, Grants and Fundraising Agent
Born in Australia, Jodie is a proud Yawaru woman living on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar
When Jodie began working as the Executive Assistant at a homeless shelter whilst studying Communications at Edith Cowan University, she discovered a passion for the Not-for-Profit industry and her 16+ year career working in the Community Sector began. She then spent over 10 years working at Carers WA , coordinating and facilitating the Young Carers program.
Jodie's naturally nurturing nature, lived experience as a young carer and as a single mother who has thrived after surviving adverse experiences, as well as her professional experience, all combine to give her the ability to connect with people from all walks of life and the unwavering drive to help others. She came across Baldivis Community Support Inc. whilst accessing their services herself and still volunteers in the office. She also volunteers as the P&C Secretary and Grants Officer at her child's school.
Since Baldivis Community Support Inc. (Happy Pantry) is all about food, and Jodie is a die-hard foodie, a writer, and a strong believer in community spirit, Baldivis Community Support Inc. is a perfect fit. She is excited about her role as the External Communications and PR, Grants and Fundraising Agent.
