Ian Ilsley
Ian has been a partner at Ward & Ilsley Partners since 1993. Ian originally trained as a teacher, working at State Government high schools in WA. Early in his teaching career he made the life changing decision to pursue a career in accounting. He started with a Chartered Accounting firm in Perth before moving to Mandurah with his family in 1991 and joining the firm of Peter M. Ward & Associates. In 1993, Ian went into partnership with Peter Ward to form Ward & Ilsley, and upon Peter’s retirement in 2006, Ian became the sole director of Ward & Ilsley Partners.
As a business owner, Ian is very aware of the issues confronting small to medium businesses today and he works with his staff to assess each client’s needs. Over the years Ian has built a strong reputation and rapport with his clients and he is passionate about the success of his clients.
Ian has a range of clients across a variety of industries including agriculture, retail, construction, professionals, multiple branch businesses and Superannuation Funds. He is also an Auditor of many local and regional Not-for-profit organisations as well as number of self-managed superannuation funds.
Over the years Ian has held numerous of volunteer appointments in local community, school & sporting organisations. He is currently serving as a Director of Mandurah Community Financial Services operating as the Community Bank - Halls Head (Bendigo Bank), where he holds the dual roles of Chair and Treasurer. Ian is also currently the Treasurer of the Frederick Irwin Anglican School Council.
